YSC 2023

Registration opens at 6:00pm EDT on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. This event fills-up quickly. Please pre-register for this event (see below).  We are limited to 110 participants between the ages of 8 and 18. This is an excellent opportunity for your son or daughter (grand-kids, too!) to shoot targets with .22 rifle, .22 pistol, .30 Carbine, black powder rifle (muzzle-loader), air rifle, and shotgun. There is no charge to participate in the event.

All young shooters will be assisted by qualified River Bend Gun Club volunteers. A parent or legal guardian must accompany their children.

This event is open to members and non-members alike.  So tell your friends and neighbors……and don’t forget - you must pre-register  for a great time.

How Does Your Young Shooter Participate? 

Registration is limited to 110 participants so get your registration done early!  THE RANGE RELEASE FORM MUST BE COMPLETED TO INCLUDE THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN AND EACH YOUNG SHOOTER. 

Young Shooters 2022

  • Plan to be at the range by 8:00AM on 9/30/23. The mandatory Safety Briefing and instructions will begin at 8:30AM. All participants are required to be present for the Safety Briefing. Please don’t be late! 

  • Expect to be at the range until late afternoon. Participants will be outside all day. Wear appropriate attire and shoes. Shorts are discouraged for participants. 

  • Bring a chair if you like. Restrooms, beverages and shade are available on the range.

  • Lunch and beverages for participants and adults will be provided at no charge.

  • All shooting will be done on the Cowboy Hill Range which is the first range on your right as you come onto club property. 

  • No personal firearms or ammunition will be allowed on the range during this event.

 

Again, for YSC 2023 we are offering our automated wait list and notification feature.
YSC 2023 will be limited to a maximum of 110 young shooters and every young shooter registered after 110 will be automatically assigned to the wait-list. As parents go online to cancel their young shooter’s registration when their plans change, the website will automatically send an email notice to the first email on the wait-list. The first wait-listed young shooter will have 12 hours to respond and confirm their registration for the event. Parents, if your plans change and your young shooters will be unable to participate in YSC 2023, please go online and cancel so that those on the wait-list may have an opportunity for their young shooters to participate.
