Southern States Classic
19-23 May 2021

Requirements:

Entrants must be a Southerner, want to be a Southerner, or drive
through a Southern state to get to the match. Entrants must have prior High Power
Rifle competition experience (e.g. an NRA or CMP high power rifle classification).

Squadding:

Will be done in ADVANCE and is based on NRA HP classification. The
top shooters from each day may be re-squadded.

Pre-Registration & Entry Information:

An entry form or email
confirmation is required to be pre-squadded and receive a T-shirt. No refunds will be
made for cancellations after 7 May 2021; exceptions will be made for emergency
situations. As of this publication it looks like we will be able to run the match without
any restrictions. But please if you are feeling sick stay home and I will issue a refund.

Classification:

The NRA Classification system will be used.

Rules:

The NRA HP rule book will govern the match, although this is not a NRA
registered or approved tournament. The Match Director and Range Officer will act as
the jury, and prevail as final judges.

Awards:

Cash awards to trophy winners ($100 overall winner, $50 each to top SR
and MR). There must be a minimum of 5, 8 and 11 entries for 1st ($30), 2nd ($20), and
3rd ($10) respectively, in Grand Aggregate class awards. Additional awards will be at
the Match Director’s discretion. Awards will also be paid to top Civilian and top Military
teams in the team match.

Directions:

River Bend Gun Club , Dawsonville, GA – located north of Atlanta in
the southwest corner of Dawson County, approximately one hour’s drive from Atlanta.
From the north side of I-285 take GA 400 North to intersection of State 369 turn left.
Go 12.3 miles to Yellow Creek Road, turn right. Go 4.5 miles to Shiloh Church Road,
turn right. Go 0.3 mile on paved road to fork; bear right onto county road to the gun
club road – 1.25 miles. GPS Coordinates: N34 20.198 W084 14.819

RV & Camper Hook-Ups:

Water & Electricity are available at range - $20 a day (pay to MD along with match fees)
Primitive Camping Space: available at range - no charge
Rest rooms and a Shower Room: available at range - no charge.

Please note that River Bend Gun Club no longer allows the use of Club buildings for
overnight sleeping so plan accordingly.

After firing is complete on Saturday there will be a catered BBQ & awards ceremony
for all competitors.

8:30 AM, Opening Ceremony, firing commences after roll call at approximately 9:00 AM

Match 1 – The South Carolina Trophy: 200-yard slow fire standing, 2 sighters and 20 record shots in 22 minutes.
Match 2 – The Mississippi Trophy: 200-yard rapid fire, sitting or kneeling, 2 slow fire sighting shots fired in 2 minutes, followed by 2 record strings of 10 shots in 60 seconds.
Match 3 – The Florida Trophy: 300-yard rapid fire, prone, 2 slow fire sighting shots fired in 2 minutes, followed by 2 strings of 10 shots in 70 seconds.
Match 4 – The Alabama Trophy: 600-yard slow fire, prone, 2 sighters and 20 record shots in 22 minutes.

Saturday, 22 May 2021
With SIGHTERS and ALIBI’S

8:30 AM, Roll call on firing line, firing commences at 9:00 AM.

Match 5 – The Georgia Trophy: 200-yard slow fire standing, 2 sighters and 20 record shots in 22 minutes.
Match 6 – The Louisiana Trophy: 200-yard rapid fire, sitting or kneeling, 2 slow fire sighting shots fired in 2 minutes,
followed by 2 record strings of 10 shots in 60 seconds.
Match 7 – The Texas Trophy: 300-yard rapid fire, prone, 2 slow fire sighting shots fired in 2 minutes,  followed by 2 strings of 10 shots in 70 seconds.
Match 8 – The Virginia Trophy: 600-yard slow fire, prone, 2 sighters and 20 record shots in 22 minutes.

Sunday, 23 May 2021 - NO ALIBI’S and NO SIGHTERS

Match 9 The Arkansas Trophy: 500 aggregate NMC. (Confederate Rifleman’s Match and EIC Match FIRED CONCURRENTLY with EIC Awards administered by CMP)

Match 10 The Bragg Trophy: awarded for any 100-10x string fired.
Match 11 The Jackson Trophy: awarded for any 200-20x fired.
Match 12 The North Carolina Trophy: 3-day rapid fire aggregate.
Match 13  The Tennessee Trophy: 3-day slow fire aggregate.
Match 14  The Smith Trophy: 3-day Junior’s grand aggregate.
